Endless Summer

Wow, this is a really good idea - an endless summer...

The Vapor Caves, straight from Austin, TX, brought to you a dreamy, nostalgic soul/jazz piece with silky vocals and melodies that melt you from the inside, just like the burning sun does on the outside.

The track actually has a pretty awesome and interesting story, which they share:

We created a fake real estate company "Endless Summer Homes" that released a promotional video, which references several Austin, Texas stereotypes and details about Austin's treacherous housing market. The video is meant to play as though it's entirely real. Meanwhile, we, The Vapor Caves made a call-to-action against Endless Summer Homes (also us), mentioning that they had used our music without our permission. What resulted was a litany of responses, many in support of art and defending us (thank you) and many disgusted with Endless Summer Homes' antics (we agree). This was all meant to start a discussion about art and its value. We released "Endless Summer," as an homage to our hometown, reflecting on its evolution, overpopulation, and gentrification.
