"Tula Mutwana" by South Africa producer, Thor Rixon is what I have had on repeat all weekend. This downtempo track has indescribable depths, textures, and rich samples, and it was made for an exceptional cause.

This track was released on the album Beating Heart - South Africa Vol. 3, which is an album that features music from Daev Martian X Sio, Throwing Shade, Hunrosa and Thor Rixon. The profits raised from this album will go toward the Women's Legal Centre; a group of female lawyers striving for gender equality across South Africa.

The Subsaharan project Beating Heart aim to get an eclectic mix of producers on board, to build new compositions using the world´s largest archive of African field recordings. They move from nation to nation, and funds earned from the music go toward the communities that created the music that has since been renewed.

Beating Heart creates renewed interest in some of the most vibrant rhythms and cultures on the planet.

They debuted last year with the Malawi album, and the amounts were used to fund the setting up of a sustainable school feeding program in Lilongwe, feeding around 450 kids daily. This is a such an intriguing project that 100% deserves your support.
