Hello folks! It’s been a while, I apologies but I am back! And I bring good music.
Today I want you to absorb the words of Dr. Barbara Ann Teer, who founded the first revenue generating black theatre arts complex in the US. She opens the track with the following:
“This is kind of a mass culture we live in. It makes you look like something/ act like something you really aren’t. It’s like a falseness. It’s like a mass personality.”
Years and years later, her words still resonate the truth.
"JAS" is a track that oozes effortlessness, it offers cool and most importantly it offers truth. The track not only tells us about the current mass personality that society has become, it urges us to be human, be pioneers of our own lives. Time Deluxe, also pays homage to the some of the greatest jazz legends Miles Davis, Alice Coltrane and John Coltrane.
