Maple Sun has blended the worlds of melodic house and classic music in such an elegant manner on his new rendition of Tom Merrall's "sous les étoiles".
Given that both UK-based Tom Merrall and Italy’s Maple Sun are composers, this union feels totally fitting. Maple Sun's signature brand of emotional charm is evident from start to finish here as glistening pianos are shrounded in an air of lush soundscapes throughout the intro. As the track progresses, the arrival of the strings heighten the track's cinematic feel during the bridge, while the climax is driven by a lively rhythm section. This is hands down one of my favorite pieces from the Italian producer!
