I am eternally grateful to Lu for many things and it's time to add one more thing to that list - reminding me of Tropics, who I firstly featured back in 2016. The tricky part about always seeking out new music is that sometimes a real gem of an artist slips through the cracks and you just forget something you shouldn't. This is what happened with me and Tropics. That being said, because of Lu and his feature of "Cold Euphoria", I learned that Christian is releasing a new album.

Today we celebrate that record a -10track collection titled Reality Fever. Written, produced, and composed entirely by him, Reality Fever blurs the lines between indie rock, post-punk, and electronica. Building on the influences of past releases, the record takes a grittier, DIY turn—crafted entirely in his Los Angeles studio. I've been listening to the album on repeat for the past 2 days, but before I get into that album review, here's one of my favorite tracks titled "Circlestrum".

There's so much pain engraved in this one, I just can't. While I tend to be mostly happy and positive and there's so much to be thankful for, this brings out nostalgia and sadness in the most beautiful way possible. There's a feeling of hopelessness in "Circlestrum" that gives me goosebumps. To me, this is what makes music timeless - the ability to affect us in the most extreme way possible.
