Vaarwell's latest release with "corinthia II" strikes the sweetspot between raw and atmospheric with their left-field production and Jeshi's superb verses.
Vaarwell first landed on my radar back in 2021 with "Vertigo," and four years later it’s remarkable to see how much they’ve grown and the mark they’ve made on the underground electronic scene. This certainly continues with "corinthia II" - a hard-hitting gem that's fleshed out the soothing, airy vocals when it reaches the chorus. Throughout, this is contrasted by a sturdy bass line that breathes life into the mix while Jeshi's rap verses offer the track a gritty edgy. In many ways, this reminds me of my faverite track from Overmono "Blow Out".
