Rarely artists strike me as how complete their work is. I can start with the name : Valley Maker - what a powerful name for an artist. Then the title of his latest album Yes, I know I've loved this word, immediately grabs my attention. The past perfect tense completely changes the meaning. Was it written in present tense, it would not have left me wondering over the choice of these particular words. To put it simply it gets me thinking about..life. I also like the simple two-color cover art and that single fallen tree, and that circle. What's with the circle, is this the moon?
If this alone is enough to provoke my thoughts, then the lyrics of "Only Friend" will keep me busy for quite some time. This track is melodic with beautiful vocals, especially the gentle female vocals in the background.
