A broody, almost Massive Attack vibe I'm hearing from South London producer Zaflon's new single featuring singer Gilan_Music. For those who don’t know, Zaflon, dabbles in the darker realms of broody triphop, drum n bass and downtempo electronic music.

A few months back he dropped "Blink" a track that mixes Geoff Barrow noir with Burial's shadowy nocturnal experiments.

To end 2015, the producer has shared his latest single "Nightmare Division" an ambient and sinister track that uses samples of river noises recorded on the Thames riverbank, including the hull of a big old barge being hit with a stick, flies, doors and breaking watermelons.

As the song slowly advances, you’ll find yourself helplessly drawn in by the overall feeling of the song which creates an complex and ghostly aesthetic.

Add Zaflon to the list of names to look out for in 2016.
