Action Bronson has long been one of those artists whose features I've consistently enjoyed, yet I'd never explored an entire album until Planet Frog. Safe to say, it won me over!
The New York native floats somewhere between the underground and mass appeal with his outlandish style of lyricism and distinctive flow. Planet Frog felt like a trip, but one that isn't lavished with bright colors, but rather intricate and sophisticated, especially thanks to the splendid musicality across the production. A standout moment for me was most definitely "OLYMPIC VINCE CARTER". The instrumental had a groovy, triumphant feel by virtue of the sticky guitar arrangements and luminous keys. I can't neglect to mention the incredible lyricism either, as Action Bronson effortlessly balances vivid imagery, sharp wit, and charismatic storytelling from start to finish.
