Gnash (check his artist profile here) seems like an interesting 22-years old bloke. Not sure how to describe the DIY artist, but I guess DIY artist sums things pretty well. Initially, I wanted to just feature his track "Crash With Me", but as I started listening to the whole U EP it eventually grew on me.

I gotta say some of the tracks of this album still feel a bit on the edge of liking to me, but the overall vibe and the daily-life lyrics won me over. It kinda feels like he's just presenting a few very trivial topics which each of us faces on a daily basis... in a very casual way. I guess that's the reason why I already played the whole thing a bunch of times and absolutely loved it. As a non-lyrics kind of guy, this time I really felt quite... captivated by the stuff he sings. And yes, definitely avoid the "skip" button!

Nonetheless, "Crash With Me" and "Leave A Message" remain the definite highlights of this album. Ahh, and "LIl Tokyo (disposable)"  which actually starts with a disposable camera charge and click sample. Isn't this just heart-warming?
