Cuezy.'s name has become synonymous with high-quality beats and seriously good chill. Reviewing his DEPARTURE TO UTOPIA LP has been one of the most fruitful and fun things to do editorial-wise last year, so I'm glad we get to talk about the German producer once more.
This time Cuezy. (real name Nicolas Jassmann) isn't alone. Endless Summer is a collaborative EP created by him and New York-based beatmaker Aloefi. I reckon the name gives away enough, but in case that's not clear, it's the end of August, and you just found the best soundtrack of summer. The 6-track EP soundtracks one perfect summer day, drifting from laid-back boom bap and hazy lofi vibes into late-night house grooves before landing on a grand finale as the sun comes up.
I love projects that feel like little timelines of a mood, and this one really nails that transition from headbopping to opener, "Endless Summer", through that psychedelic gem, "Snakeoil" and all the way to the dancefloor anthem, "Give Up Everything". While I would describe this EP as groovy, there’s something beautifully nostalgic about it, just like a soundtrack to a summer day you already know you’ll miss once it’s over.
"Although separated by thousands of miles, we first connected through the Lofi Alumni community and quickly discovered how much we had in common. We both are fathers, both have been making music for many years, and we both work as DJs, regularly playing a similar blend of soulful house, hip hop, and groove-driven music," the guys shared with me.
I finally finished reading Dilla Time, and paired with my basketball-heavy summer, I can safely say 2026 has been the year of hip hop for me. If, like me, you're vibing with Golden Era hip hop classics and that Soulection vibe, I bet you'll absolutely adore this. Honestly, it's been a while since I've been this over the moon about a beat release (unless it's on our label, ofc), but this is just pure genius.

I wanted to do a bit of a track breakdown, and while I try not to cherry-pick tracks from conceptual releases, there are some diamonds in here, so allow me to take a minute and talk about my favourite tracks. As I mentioned earlier, I vibed really hard with the opener (and the title of the EP) - "Endless Summer". There's something really chic about this tune. While it is more of a classic beat, there's a hazy, flashy vibe to it. Hope this makes sense? And yes, the perfect way to set the tone for the rest of the EP.
Talking about J Dilla, we absolutely have to talk about "Still With You (My Baby)". This is the kind of beat that instantly makes you feel 10x cooler than you actually are. Put it on, step outside for a walk, throw on your favourite pair of headphones, and suddenly the whole city feels like your personal music video. Heads will turn, the stride gets a little more confident, and for three glorious minutes, you're absolutely flying.
Last, but not least - my absolute favourite, "Give Up Everything". A track that sounds like Kaytranada spent a sun-soaked summer on the Sri Lankan coast, making groovy lofi beats between ocean swims, late lunches, and golden-hour sessions.
