It's been over a year since I firstly discovered gnash and reviewed his debut album u and it felt the right time to go back and explore the music of the 1993-born artist.

In the beginning of the year he released his 2nd album release and it logically, after u comes me. It's been a week since I've been bouncing between the 7 tracks off the album, but the first thing which really struck in my mind was that "hey" sample he used in "fuck me up" because it's the same I'm using as a sort of out-of-the-typical-drum-beat kind of sound on my electric drum pads. Anyways!

gnash, who's full name is Garrett Charles Nash, feels like the kind of guy who completely pours his heart and mind into his music. Listening to this really sends me back to those teenage days where I used to spend hours in my room thinking about stuff like "feeling fade when people change, I stay the same, played your games now I'm left with nothing" (lyrics from his track "feelings fade" ft. rkcb.

One thing which made me an impression about me - almost most of the tracks besides "ilusm" are actually collaborations. For an album with a title me, this has rather we approach.

Just like the previous release, this feels like a personal story I think many of us can associate with. Not sure what's my favourite track - each of them has its elements to love like that vibrant future beats vibe of "fuck me up" or the chilled summer feeling of "that one song". However, I prefer to listen the release from the first to the last track. The one thing it made me think is how much I appreciate the people in my life right now.

Stay up to date.
