If you like Mumford and Sons and Two Doors Cinema Club, you'll probably appreciate Grizfolk.

I discovered the American/Swedish band in March, as they were opening for a Bastille in Paris. Their set perfectly showcased their abilities, winning the crowd over their songs and shaking it up with unexpected covers - such as Kendrick Lamar’s "Money Trees". The five-piece hooked me on their sound that could be described as country-folk songs meeting electronic elements.

From the Spark is their first EP, and they are currently working on their debut album while touring across America.

The EP consists of 4 songs, opening on “Hymnals” - a catchy anthem.  Songs echo each other and rhythm slows down a bit on “Vagabonds”. From the Spark ends on “Waiting for You”, and no doubt their album is awaited.

Well, if you seek a soundtrack for your summer road-trip, Grizfolk can surely sort this out!
