I found Lewis OfMan sometime last year and have kept an eye on him as he slowly but very surely makes his mark in the French electronic scene. He has just released his second 6-track EP, titled Yo Bene with Cactus Club (stream below). The style in ways is reminiscent of old school Italian disco music, but OfMan totally owns it with his unique French twist.

The album features six incredibly smooth tracks which nonchalantly roll off the tongue, morphing into one another yet still each having their own distinct feel about them. Ofman switches the album up in a very effortless way, alternating the melancholic with the more upbeat.

I was skeptical when I first heard "Un Amour au Super U", but upon listening to it again, I have really come to love this track. The song features Milena Leblanc's dreamy vocals, paired with OfMan's staple synths - it will surely transport you to a different galaxy...

"Flash" is probably my favourite track off the album; it is groovy, upbeat and has elements that stylistically are similar to fellow Parisian's, Polo & Pan (who I featured quite recently). It is the perfect tune to follow up the first track which serves as a somewhat prologue to the rest of the album.

The EP ends on the track "Kythira" which leaves you on a cloud, with that wonderful floaty feeling while you drift into a dreamland. Listening to the whole album through was like wandering through a forest, and once it was all over, I felt like I had just been come out of the cinema, a little disoriented and not sure what to make of reality.

Hope you guys enjoyed the Yo Bene EP crafted by Lewis OfMan. If you want to support the artist, order the whole release from iTunes here.
