Hey folks! My name is Chris and I've been blogging about indie music for about two years now. I got really excited when I first heard of Stereofox and I was impatient to finally see it launched. It's a unique and beautiful initiative and I'm happy that it's now up and running. Hopefully with my help and that of all you wonderful people out there it will become so much more than just a music blog. I was quite excited when they invited me to be their "Guest blogger of the week". I'm really proud and honored to be the very first Bulgarian blogger to contribute to this fantastic site. So without further ado here’s my treat for you today.

I've always had an ear for all things shoegaze. So for those know me this will not come as a surprise. Today I chose a band that is still young but with great potential. The band in question is Maria False and they just released their debut album titled Artefact. The hazy vocals, reverby guitars and gloomy, seductive melodies are few of the things that drove me to them in the first place. Few month ago the band released their self-titleddebut EP which led the foundation for their first ever full length.  What I love the most about “Artefact”  is how gently psychedelia flirts with shoegaze as evident in songs like “GO!” and “Fade It Away Into The Sea”. The album is eight tracks or more than thirty minutes of pure, blissful, noisy melancholia with mesmerizing chants, which will mostly likely please fans of My Bloody Valentine and Kasabian.

Maria False (ex-The Summer Of Maria False) are a four-piece band that comes from the french city of Rennes and dwells somewhere between psychedelic rock and shoegaze. Think Black Rebel Motorcycle Club mixed with My Bloody Valentine. They've been around for little over a year and share a member with another fantastic French shoegaze band named Venera 4.

Stay up to date.
