I'm excited to announce Donkeychote's debut album, Antidote, on our own Stereofox Records. This is a huge milestone for both the Berlin-based producer and our team because it marks the first "official" psychedelic release we have. As you know, we never shy away from new music, and the ability (and freedom) to share the music we love without constraints is one of the main reasons we love doing what we do.

I don't know about you, but for years I've been a sucker for that desert psychedelia sound championed by bands like Khruangbin, Salin, Dengue Fever, Yin Yin, Yuuf, and Atabasca (one of our recent discoveries). Acts that blend global groove with neo-psychedelic influences create this free-from-stress environment that allows you to trip your mind away.

Now, let's put the spotlight on Florian - the person behind Donkeychote and his absolutely mind-blowing first Antidote single called "Soulmate". The record sees the Berlin-based beatmaker and multi-instrumentalist embrace a live aesthetic while blending chillhop with a hazy, psychedelic indie flair. His work as a multi-instrumentalist has previously led to collaborations with names like Awon, but this feels like uncharted waters. Accompanied by Dale Lohse on drums, the two have created a sound that could slow down and speed up time at the same time. I love the switch at 00:43 and how beautifully the drums and guitar kick in.
