I have written about a remix of The 1975, but quite a few producers and DJs have decided to give their latest track "Sex" a remix, and they have released a small EP with 7 tracks, featuring artists such as Hackman, a great producer hailing from London, Ryan Hemsworth from Canada, and Romanian artist Liar. Also featured is a track I previously wrote about from French producer Andrea, as well as an unreleased track "Undo". All of the remixes are really nice to listen to, and things for The 1975 just seem to be getting better and better. Each of the remixes has noticeably different styles, but all are definitely worth having on the iPod, some really easy late night listening, and Liar's remix of "Sex" has a nice, darker, vibe. And what makes it even better, the EP is available for free download, with a link below!
The band themselves are a blend of indie rock, with some 1980s white pop funk, and I have read that the band are travelling around playing places for free, but living the dream, and they are amazed that their latest release "Chocolate" which can be checked out on their Soundcloud has already made some headway in regards to some charts!
"We put this on the internet and it's in the charts already. Crazy!" said lead singer Matthew Healy in a recent interview with UK newspaper The Guardian. Download the EP below!
