I've been patiently counting the days until the 6th of November, and my patience has been rewarded because Ciarán's brand-new album, Róisín, is absolutely phenomenal. "Galvarino" and "Houston" were such a good start, so I had no doubt about the quality of this album.
Yes, it's Friday, and yes, I woke up at 5 AM, and the 13-track record is the first thing I heard while doing my morning routine - coffee, stretching, and preparing for the weekly New Music Friday madness.

The Irish singer, songwriter, and producer, BROCKHAMPTON member, and mastermind behind bearface (one of my all-time favourite musical projects) has gifted us yet another soul-levitating experience. With a runtime of 40 minutes and 23 seconds, Róisín takes us on an emotional rollercoaster, pairing stellar, glitch-laced production with melodies that hit right in the feels. A beautiful, heart-melting journey from start to finish.
For today's spotlight, I picked "Loom" - a track that gave me instant goosebumps and almost made me cry. It carries his signature off-kilter production, but paired with Bon Iver-like vocals that hit so hard. So damn hyped about this album!

The album is available on vinyl via Bandcamp.
