For over a decade, Amtrac has ushered in a garden-fresh brand of house/dance music that infuses spacey textures and live instrumentation. "Interstate" reminds us of earlier singles such as "Just" and I love that sense of familiarity. It feels like we're buried underneath multiple layers of synths here as "Interstate" is dense with glossy textures and accompanied by the presence of a burly bass. This allows us to lose ourselves in the moment and be sent on an emotional rollercoaster, particularly when we reach the climax section.
