The title of anaii's latest track, "Sunshine" beautifully encapsulates the listening experience we're in for on this. It's soulful, warm, and sounds like the soundtrack of a sunlit Sunday morning.
One of my favorite albums that spawned last year was anaii's Devotion and The Black Divine, and here she touched on some heavy themes, an aspect that is reflected in the production. On "Sunshine" however, we can hear the fun she had making this. The instrumental is bright and colorful, especially when the synths begin spilling into the mix towards the second half. This complements her sweet, endearing lyrics that are delivered like a carefree smile, effortlessly reinforcing the track's uplifting spirit from beginning to end.
