What I love about Anish Kumar is that he's able to tap into various styles of dance music and chillout, and he continues to showcase his versatility with his latest release, "Memphis Players".
This is one of the more groovier cuts from his latest body of work AK Cuts: Vol. 2 - a body of work comprised of samples from a range of soulful genres. "Memphis Players" fuses blues and house music in a manner that's not only catchy, but also destined to become a staple in afternoon DJ sets. The vocals, along with the guitars, seamlessly float over the vibrant drums, especially towards the second half, where the track comes to life and pulls us closer to the dancefloor.
