Today we celebrate the beginning of summer with Archie Holmes' debut EP on Stereofox. The talented UK producer and DJ has been teasing a taste of Dawn to Dusk for a while now, and after "Aurora" and "Blossom" it's time to get the full experience and dive head-first into the beautiful creation of one of the most promising electronic artists right now. Honestly, I am beyond excited we get to work with such a humble and skillful artist and I am seeing nothing, but greatness ahead of Archie.
Today we offer 2 new tracks - the upbeat breakbeat "Celestial" and rather an afternoon jazzy chill vibe titled "Eventide" (that sax work on the track is simply put superb). I think the 2 of them paint the full picture of the versatile abilities of Archie. Of course, the EP carries undenied dance feel to it, but I do appreciate the variety of emotions he engraves in it.
“Dawn to Dusk is my debut EP, combining live sampling and natural sounds with electronic synth and rolling baselines. The EP was something I created over the past year as I’ve been working on refining what I wanted my sound and style to be. Over the past few years, I’ve taking growing influenced from electronica music from artists such as Bonobo and Bicep. When creating this EP I was focusing on making music which doesn’t necessarily follow any particular genre and just making music that I liked, not trying to fit any trends.”, shares Archie.
