In many ways, the past few years have been incredible for electronic music, especially when we zoom out and look at the bigger picture. Electronic music streams have been increasing faster than many other genres, rising roughly 18 % year-on-year on major DSPs. And if that wasn’t clear enough already, huge multi-genre festivals like Coachella had electronic music making up nearly 40% of the lineup in 2025, which really says it all.

Throughout last year, we had our eyes on a range of upcoming talent that was carving their own lane within the respective niches. We're back again with our annual piece that shines a light on key artists to watch, poised to break through even further and make a mark in their sphere of electronica in the year ahead.

You can find all of these talented musicians (and much more) on our electronic-focused playlists:

Mondigo

While Mondigo has been releasing music for years, last year marked a turning point as he made a strong impression with one of the most compelling bodies of work in the melodic house space. The Belgium-based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer has found a distinctive sweet spot between electronic music and folk in a manner that's quite reminiscent of RY X. On his debut album Island, we hear his passionate vocals breathe life into these bright, colorful instrumentals, making for emotive experiences that are textually compelling. The album garnered millions of streams, and I also can't neglect to mention how Mondigo closed the year with an Anjunadeep release and a collaboration with Romain Garcia.

With a superb year like that, I'm really looking forward to hearing what mountains Mondigo will climb next in 2026.

Stay up to date.

Jaime Rosso

Jaime Rosso's music is beautifully odd. It’s laced with ornate, playful samples that keep things feeling fresh, and his warm, comforting vocal delivery all seamlessly ties this together.

UK-based producer and DJ Jaime Rosso has made quite a name for himself in the past as a talented selector with an eclectic taste palette. This is reflected in his craft, especially since his production style defies form and shatters any notions of fitting into a particular category. Away - his debut EP released via Domino Recording - fascinatingly encapsulates all of the above. Tracks like "Away" and "Narrow View" are adorned with a ton of interesting textures that add depth, quirkiness, and movement. His vocals hit the sweet spot between smooth and melancholic, gliding effortlessly over the arrangements with a quiet emotional pull.

Jaime has a one-of-a-kind sound that's bound to carry him far!

Paperwater

If you're a fan of disco and funk, this is a duo you're going to love. Paperwater is a Miami-based duo (Daygee Kwia and Eddy Samy), that channels the rich cultural tapestry of their Haitian and Liberian heritage. Also drawing inspiration from their childhood icons like The Neptunes and Daft Punk, all these influences are distilled into an irresistibly groovy take on electronic music.

The pair had such an incredible run in 2025 as they released two stellar EPs alongside a ton of singles, collaborated with BLOND:ISH, and played a lot of high-profile shows across different countries. Their biggest single "GIRL I WANT YOU" also emerged last year, and this is a track that beautifully showcases the rich soul and groove that's consistently present in their music - regardless of whether they venture into house, disco, electronica, or Afro.

Anna-My

Hailing from Stockholm, Anna-My ventures into the alternative side of club-leaning electronic music with her craft. She has also worked as a Boiler Room employee, music journalist, and club organizer, which helped shape her edgy musical perspective.

She made an immediate impact in 2025 with the release of her fascinating debut EP, In Motion, Always, which Ivo reviewed on Stereofox. With this project, she utterly refuses to fit in a box, especially since she combines old school tech-house, synthwave, techno, Miami bass, and more to offer a listening experience that captures the feeling of the underground. In Motion, Always is a musical self-portrait, an extension of the feelings, memories, and places that have left a mark on her. It's a daring project for a first release, and that well-executed baldness makes me keen to hear where she is going next.

coiro

Our introduction to coiro came in 2024 via "Torque-Torque" and the Brazilian producer has only continued to build momentum through his steady and focused output. With a release on Christian Löffler's iconic imprint Ki Records and 2 impressive EPs to his name, 2025 has undoubtedly been coiro's highlight year.

Throughout both projects, coiro brand of melodic and deep house found a sweet spot where bedroom intimacy meets living-room warmth, while still delivering moments made for euphoric dance floors. His production and ability for world-building reached new plateaus that make him among the most interesting acts in the world of melodic house.

MOLØ

If you’ve ever wondered what the term "melantronic" really means, MOLØ’s catalogue is the perfect place to start. The Swedish producer and DJ possesses an emotionally heavy and spacey aesthetic that's present throughout her releases, and in 2025, she tapped into this further, especially with the help of Slackin Beats.

The two projects they put out together are beautifully introspective, with tasteful inclusions of breakbeat, ambient, UK garage, and IDM influences to offer a sound that's honestly forward-thinking. Shades of this came to life on her immersive remix for the acclaimed La Fleur, showcasing her prowess when placed behind a synthesizer. Whether producing or DJing, she has a knack for drawing people into her odd but deeply fascinating sonic universe.

Oscar Farrell

2025 was the year Oscar Farrell turned heads in the electronic scene, thanks to collaborations with George Daniel (The 1975), a remix from Jacques Greene, a feature with Sampa, and a compelling EP that showcased his artistry.

Consistency, a strong sonic identity, and the right people around him drove his rise forward. His moody style of UK Garage is elegantly exhibited on the So Far South EP, and I love that its emotive charm leans towards an eerie approach. For the most part, Oscar's sound is reflective, although towards the end of the year, he drifted towards a techno-influenced, club-leaning aesthetic - displaying how easily he can make music for the soul and for the dance floor in an alternative electronica context. I don't know when it's going to happen, although I'm predicting a Fred again.. and Oscar Farrell release somewhere down the line!

TABLE

In 2025, the genre of Jazz House experienced a surge in popularity, manifesting in various ways. One of the acts that stood in the forefront of this new wave of Jazz House is the extremely talented Swedish duo TABLE.

While they’ve honed their sound for years through bootleg remixes, their official leap onto various DSPs this year feels like a triumphant debut. The pair excel at not only fusing a wide range of influences into their aesthetic, but they've also helped push the sound of Jazz House forward. 01 Disc, along with their follow-up singles create a sound designed to bring people together and share incredible moments with one another, regardless of background. If we're talking about the new faces of Jazz House, these guys are the future!

RONA.

With the release of "TIOLI" and "Feel It Too" back in 2022, RONA. ushered in a fierce yet reflective style of downtempo/electronica to mark her arrival as an artist. Over time, she eventually gravitated toward more club-oriented electronic territory that culminated in major festival slots and playing alongside icons like Four Tet, in 2025, things took a turn.

Her journey led her into a compelling sound that fuses downtempo textures with experimental electronica and a subtle dancefloor edge. It's honestly a sonic concoction that's solely her own, and this was clearly evident on her mesmerizing It's All Here EP. The Australia-based producer and DJ is a storyteller whose sound is deeply grounded in the vast desert landscape of her home Mparntwe. This ability to make us move and make music that's reflective of nature creates a unique duality, making us so hooked to see and hear what she is going to do next.

Rino

Rino's Expanse EP was among my favorite discoveries of 2021. Six years on, it’s rewarding to see how far he’s come with his intricate take on electronica, with his profile rising through increased editorial support and collaborations with highly esteemed artists.

Indonesian-born, Melbourne/Naarm-based composer, DJ, and producer Rino occupies a space that's between meditative and energetic. His forward-thinking 2025 project Running In Paris via Seb Wildblood's All My Thoughts label is a multi-colored blend of club-leaning house music, UKG, and IDM that takes on a futuristic aesthetic. This was honestly among the most fascinating listening experiences I encountered last year. Within the Australian music scene, he certainly stands out as one of the young producers who are poised to push boundaries and carve out a distinctive path of his own that others may follow.
