I think I fell in love with Daylight the first time I heard the song "Selfish" in 2010. Then I heard "Two Of A Kind" and that was it, I knew this band was going to be big. It's really hard to categorize Daylight genre-wise. They could easily fall into the grunge category but still I think they would be fine in the punk/post-hardcore ones too.
Last week I was in Manchester UK and they were having a show there, too bad I was late and missed their set, at least I bought a t-shirt and a 7" and then watched Make Do and Mend! I'm pretty sure Daylight killed it, though.
Finally the time has come and Daylight are about to release their debut full length album called Jar. The release date is set for April 30th and the record label is Run For Cover (...again). How awesome is that? "In On It" is the first song from Jar that got posted for streaming online and now it even has a video. I love the song and am sure that the rest of the record will be worth it.
