Born and raised on the east coast, BB Mike began to study music at a very young age. Starting with trumpet, he fell in love with jazz and hip hop in his youth. Shortly after high school, he developed a great interest in piano. BB made his way out to Colorado to study jazz in 2013 at CU Boulder. In the Rockies, he developed multiple musical projects such as Cave Dwellers (an eight-piece indie band), Sky Pond (a jazz-rock quartet), and his own solo work (electronic/house). He wrote, recorded, and self-produced multiple EP's, mixtapes, and singles for these groups. Sky Pond became a very successful local act in the Denver area. At the end of 2019, right before the whole world changed, BB made his way out to Los Angeles to further pursue his solo work and career. Since then he has released two singles, 'Montgomery Blend' and 'Rise Up'. These songs were recorded in his home studio in Hollywood using Ableton Live. His newest single 'Goner' will be out September 24th and will feature his good friend Rozie Baker. BB was heavily inspired by Kaytranada while writing this tune.
