Louisiana native Cait Harris may just be getting started, but she has been a storyteller from an early age. Growing up in a state rich with musical flavors, she has graced many a stage in New Orleans and has become somewhat of a local favorite.

As an opener for Somo in 2017 at the acclaimed Republic venue, she quickly proved her knack for covering songs by other artists in an intoxicating way that cuts straight through to the core of her listeners’ emotions. She continued posting covers on her Instagram — songs by Janet Jackson, Snoh Aalegra, Billie Eilish, and more — receiving praise from Aalegra herself. In December 2017, Anderson .Paak invited her to perform at his .Paak House At The Park concert in Los Angeles.

She has since been writing and recording her very first body of original work, enlisting the help of New Orleans producer Chris Hayes, as well as Ivan Jackson of Brasstracks. “6ix” is Harris’ debut to the world as a solo recording artist and she has a lot more in store.
