døssing is a newly formed sibling trio consisting of Jon, Aske and Mathilde Døssing Bendixen, who musically roams within the genre of instrumental jazz characterised by a playful approach along with unmistakable chemistry in their compositions and live expression. When being introduced to døssing as a listener and audience, it is quite obvious that the trio comes from a background in which music and creativity has been a deeply integrated part of life. It is not a coincidence that the sibling trio have this background. Being children off the folktronica pioneers Sorten Muld and growing up in a collective housing community, døssing have had music, community and co-creation as the ground pillars of their upbringing. After years of being occupied with other musical projects such as Abekejser, AySay and Total Hip Replacement, the siblings are now back together as they were in their childhood living room and are now ready to make their entrance on the Danish and international jazz scene. døssing's musical universe invites the audience to lean back in the chair and let the thoughts flow, and other times to break loose on the dance floor. With keys, synthesizers, effects on the trombone and vocals, along with acoustic drums combined with a drum machine, døssing plays with the meeting between the electronic and analogue and creates in that sense an evocative and dreamy universe. Besides their musical expression, the døssing trio also have a differentiated, eye-catching and somewhat mystical visual identity, reminding one of David Lynch's Twin Peaks, but combined with the pastel colorful, antique style known from The Grand Budapest Hotel. Again, this is not a coincidence as the band on their upcoming singles and debut album invites the listener into a universe, which revolves around the feelings, aesthetics and mystical observations that occurs on a journey through a certain, fictional hotel.
