elmss is a 19 year old artist who puts a new perspective on timeless genres such as soul, hip hop and folk, combining them all in a uniquely London centric manner and adding an electronic spin. She grew up in a house that played angry, political music like Ska and Punk and artists such as Bob Dylan and Gil-Scott Heron. This saw her lyricism and delivery become raw and defiant, yet with a mysticism and slickness that reflects her youth.
