JÁNA is an independent artist, producer and writer from Sweden. She learned to play the classical guitar and started writing songs when she was nine years old in her hometown Uppsala. Since then she has deepened her knowledge in songwriting and production through studies in both the isolated north of Sweden and London. In 2020, JÁNA released her debut EP "Flowerworks" in a close collaboration with the Swedish legends Little Dragon. Less than a year later, she was nominated for her first Swedish Grammy in the category of this year's R&B/Soul. JÁNA's music can be described as live-based R&B with electronic elements with a softly trailing vocal. Following up "Flowerworks" JÁNA released a stand-alone single "Green" featuring the American/Nigerian sister-duo VanJess. In 2021 she released her second EP "Works", a B-side to her debut EP "Flowerworks".
