NATICA (Nathalie Escudero) is a NYC-based vocalist and songwriter versatile in various styles such as Classical, Jazz, R&B, and Pop. She has performed at various venues throughout New York City such as David Geffen Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, Colden Auditorium, Terraza 7, and Silvana. As an educator, her focus is working with Black and Latinx children from underserved communities in Uptown Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. More recently, Nathalie is an adjunct teaching artist working with children ages 6-10 in choral settings through the Afro Latin Jazz Alliance (ALJA), a non-profit organization that advances both the performance and educational aspects of their uniquely Pan-American art form. She has also taught at other nonprofits such as Marquis Studios in Brooklyn and Sunnyside Community Services in Queens. For the past three years, Nathalie has served full-time as Music Director at Queen of Angels R.C. Church in Sunnyside, Queens. She directs three choirs, cantors masses, and manages concert programming for all choirs. As of December 2020, she began hosting and producing a podcast for Comtex News Network called The Comtex Daily Brief. Nathalie is currently working on her debut EP. All original songs were recorded at Audubon Lab Recording in New York, NY and Summerfield Music Co. in Ridgewood, Queens. EP collaborators include Dylan Kaminkow, Garen Dorsey, Jose Benjamin Escobar, Graham Doby, Joey "Bagadeez" Lambert, Izaiah Graves, A. Sarr, and Wamoo (Juan Alvarez). She also recently collaborated with rapper K Da Don on "Bachata," off of his EP #KwameSaysHi with Wraithh Cooper. Nathalie is a 2021 recipient of the NYFA City Artists Corps grant. Nathalie received her BM in classical vocal performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College in May of 2015.
