Kabeer Kathpalia, a.k.a OAFF, is a music producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist who bridges the gap between atmospheric electronica and accessible, feel-good pop.
OAFF first garnered international attention for his single 'For A While,' which has been streamed more than 1 million times. His most recent releases, ‘Perpetuate’ and ‘Heavy Headed,’ received favourable reviews in the Indian music press.
Born in Ahmedabad but currently working in Mumbai, Kathpalia studied physics and mathematics at university. After graduation, however, he chose to pursue his passion for music (astute listeners will recognise the minimalism of his songwriting and production style, which is almost mathematical in its precision and symmetry).
In addition to his independent releases as OAFF, Kathpalia has created immersive audio installations in Asia, Europe and the US. He is also a sought-after music composer for international brands, and has created music for H&M, Airbnb, Volkswagen and the official Olympics Channel. He composed the title theme for the Amazon Prime Video's Emmy-nominated show 'Inside Edge'.
