Scasca is a Saint-Petersburg-based producer and DJ creating leftfield electronic music with subtle sprinkles of lo-fi aesthetics. Drawing inspiration from such artists as Bonobo, Four Tet and Catching Flies, Scasca makes his UK-influenced downtempo composed of delicate chopped vocal samples, carefully sequenced drums and textured organic soundscapes. The artist's alias, which translates from Russian as "fairy tale", as well as the music itself, conveys the atmosphere of charmed forests somewhere on the shores of the Gulf of Finland.
