Pavel Telica, known artistically as Telica, is a London-based jazz guitarist and jazz hip hop producer blending jazz, bossa nova, neo soul and hip hop into warm, timeless vintage grooves.
Originally from Latvia and now based in London, his music sits at the intersection of modern jazz musicianship, Brazilian rhythm and hip hop beat culture. Centred around expressive guitar playing and laid-back grooves, Telica’s sound draws inspiration from summer landscapes, travel, community and a slower, more intentional way of living — creating a sonic world that feels sun-soaked, organic and deeply human. He first gained wider attention through the lo-fi jazz hip hop project Doctor Gosso & the Samplers, founded together with producer Teo Marangon. Early releases from the duo quickly reached hundreds of thousands of streams and helped establish their presence within the growing global scene of jazz-influenced beat music.
Over the years, Telica has continued to expand both his solo work and collaborations, releasing music under his own name while remaining an active member of the Doctor Gosso Collective. His catalogue has surpassed 5 million streams and his music has been featured on editorial playlists including Spotify’s Best of Jazz, Jazz UK and Focus Flow, as well as broadcast on BBC Radio London.
Alongside releasing his own music, he regularly collaborates with artists from the London jazz and hip hop scene as a guitarist, producer and session musician, contributing live instrumentation and production across a wide range of projects.
Beyond recording, Telica has also been deeply involved in building creative communities around the music. What started as a duo project gradually evolved into the Doctor Gosso Collective — a network of musicians and artists performing collaborative shows at venues such as 91 Living Room and other underground spaces across London. As part of his continued evolution as an artist and producer, he recently co-founded The Office Recording Studios together with Teo Marangon — a creative recording space and collaborative hub designed to support musicians working across jazz, hip hop, and experimental music.
Through his work as a guitarist, producer and community builder, Telica continues to explore the relationship between jazz improvisation, hip hop rhythm and contemporary music culture, shaping a world of sound that celebrates creativity, collaboration and the timeless joy of making music together.
