Punk and alternative rock have never been my favorite genres. But within the past few weeks, I have been digging into old rock bands like Hüsker Dü, the Replacements and The Clash - and it's is starting to open my eyes to the appeal of this type of music, and leading me to awesome finds like Bear Hands (and the millenia of sub-genres that are encompassed by alt rock and punk music).
In any case, Bear Hands is a fast-evolving "post-punk/indie alternative rock" based out of Brooklyn, New York. "Giants" is off of their most recent album Distraction - and it's so, so good. If you're feeling it, an album sampler is on Soundcloud!
