One of the albums that almost slipped past my radar recently is Bearcubs' Breathin, and here he has completely transformed his sound into something a lot more upbeat and yet emotive.
UK-based singer, songwriter, and producer Bearcubs broke into the scene with a sound that meshed r&b, indie, and electronica in a garden-fresh manner. His new album however is packed with dance floor energy in a manner that honors his signature aesthetic, and one of my personal highlights from this track list was "Spin Cycle" with Mulay. Like a butterfly carried by the wind, her vocals float across the mix in a gentle manner while soft synths swell throughout the background. This is contrasted by punchy, UKG-inspired drums that inject a lively bounce into the track and add energy into the experience.
