This might be quite blasphemous to say - but I've never really liked "Hey ya". Billy Hammer's rendition however transforms the upbeat banger into a soothing listening experience glistening with dazzling guitars.

Something that dare not go overlooked here is how Billy makes use of subtle perc hits and EQ cuts to keep the progression compelling. The arrival of the bass and those lush strings really bring that track to life along with the lead guitar. Here you don't feel like shouting when you hear the melody, it's more so an "ahhhhh" as you're suddenly impaled with nostalgia.
