Bonobo's Distance in Static is one of the most anticipated albums on our New Albums in 2026 list, so naturally I'm keeping a close eye (and ear) on everything Simon has been putting out.
A few days ago, the British producer and multi-instrumentalist unveiled the 4th single from the album, featuring the lush vocals of fellow UK artist Joy Crookes.
Instrumentally, the track carries The North Border-type vibe, which I absolutely love (and miss). That being said, the sultry voice of Joy adds a whole new dimension to the music, turning "Always on Your Side" into a staggering experience.
