If you've been following Stereofox Records, you've probably realised we've really been into jazzhop lately.
A prime example of the sound we love is Pathways EP from US saxophonist BrandonLee Cierley. After 2 singles (featuring Tennishu, the trumpeter of Butcher Brown; Farnell Newton, who's toured with Jill Scott, and several other talents), here comes the full 4-song installment.
Blending the best of the jazz & beats worlds, Pathways brings together artists from various US cities & backgrounds.
BrandonLee shares, "This release is the collaboration between friends spanning from Toronto, Portland, Seattle & Florida. All these producers and friends I have collaborated with bring a unique sound to their production, blending jazz, beats & other influences. I chose the name “Pathways” because music is often a reason to get together with people from across the globe, ultimately enriching each other’s lives."
The opening tune "Boombox", produced by jetfueljayy, is short & punchy, with playful keys, captivating drum groove & sax to die for.
