One of the people at the forefront of contemporary jazz, Braxton Cook is a saxophonist, produce,r and a singer, who we've been following for a couple of years. "Not Everyone Can Go" is his first release after becoming a father, and it is a great way into what the scene has to offer, whether you're a fan of the genre or not.

"This song marks a new chapter and transition in life. I’m firmly in a new place as a father of two and now an established jazz musician. Nothing is the same as it once was, and quite frankly, it shouldn’t be. We have to evolve no matter how uncomfortable that may be.", Braxton shares on his Instagram. One can tell that he has put lots of love and energy into this, probably chanelling all these new emotions and experiences into it.

The song also features Butcher Brown’s Corey Fonville (who is one of my favourite contemporary drummers) and guitarist Andrew Renfroe, and will be part of his upcoming album this year.
