For their new track "Need It", Bronze Whale offers an atmospheric, UK Garage-inspired listening experience that's characterized by heavy bass lines and soft vocals.
We've been following the work of Bronze Whale since 2018, and seeing how their sound has evolved over the years is quite exciting. What I loved about "Need It" is that it's quite minimal yet still carries a substantial emotional impact. This is thanks to the lush chords from the keys, intertwined with a romantic, dream-like vocal performance to create a warm, immersive mood that feels both intimate and expansive. This is contrasted by upbeat drums and bulky bass lines, giving the track momentum and an edgy appeal throughought it's progression.
"At its core, it’s a love song, but more about curiosity than anything else. Not coming from pressure or urgency, just a simple question: what are we? what does this mean to you? That moment where you realize you might actually need something, and you’re trying to understand it as you say it out loud," says Bronze Whale.
