Charlie is the downtempo second project of Monstercat and Bitbird artist Duumu. While it remains very much a passion project, a recent release with Majestic Casual ("Fauvette") has seen a large amount of attention and interest swing in the Singapore-based artist's direction.
Despite numerous recent encounters with the stresses that come with being a full-time artist, "a little bit of hope" seems to reflect on this quickly-gained momentum. The laid-back rhythms within both the drums and the guitar riff express a quiet confidence, while the airy plucks that drift up high towards the end of the piece bring with them a sense of optimism as Charlie sets his sights on the future.
