CHVRCHES (pronounced simply as churches) is a Scottish electro/synth pop band. Well, not exactly. Being together for just over a year, the extremely humble trio managed to become one of the most notable acts of the year! They are quite a young band formed in 2011, but very promising already. They came fifth in BBC’s most promising act of 2013, so you'd better keep an eye on them. They toured with Passion Pit in 2012 and are about to release their EP, which will be mind-blowing!

"The Mother We Share" is their 2012 single and all of a sudden it got all over the Internet. Can't complain, though. High-pitched, neon, but not even slightly disturbing vocals of Lauren Mayberry are perfect for this genre of music.

Slightly melancholic lyrics - "And the mother we share will never keep our cold hearts from thawing", give the song a certain atmosphere, which is oddly fitting the synth beats and the vocals. Sounds like these are extremely popular these days or is it just me? And don't you just love the intro?

CHVRCHES will be huge.
