Having known each other for years, Cody Currie and Kapote have officially joined forces on their first EP together, with the single "Hard Work" shining as a clear highlight.
Known for his knack for retro disco flavors, slick keys, and jazzy house blends, Cody Currie has naturally found a home with Toy Tonics, the label helmed by Kapote - making this collaboration quite inevitable. "Hard Work" is the third single the pair has released together this year, and I loved the call-and-response relationship between the glistening keys and the slick bass line. The track really highlights their signature aesthetics while feeling fun and playful from start to finish. There is one more release to go until we have the full EP, and it’s safe to say this body of work is set to be a treat for fans of both artists.
