Welcoming back one of Netherlands' finest disco connoisseurs, DJ & producer Despa - whom you might remember from his "Save The Day" which we featured in 2021.
He just released his new album It Just Clicks whose title practically holds the essence of Despa's creation process. "While making music, I don't confine myself to fitting into specific boxes," he shared. "My favorite genres are funk and house but beyond that, I ensure my music just clicks."
The record includes garage, breakbeat, funk, disco, and soul, showcasing his signature feel-good, high-energy style. "Mentally" is one of my fav picks with its French house & disco touches, mesmerizing vocal samples & playful synths.
But the whole project, out via our friends at multicolor records & Bounce Back, is such a gem (including Extended Mixes of all 6 songs) - definitely give it a spin!
