I will be forever grateful for the existence of Dokkodo Sounds and his music. In my nearly 39 years on this planet (damn...), I have fallen in love many, many times with music, but few are the cases where I've felt paralyzed and in utter awe because of a song. One of those times was because of him.
Today we celebrate an important milestone for both Dokkodo Sounds and our own label. The release of his brand new full-length album, Tomorrow Comes. 8 transformative tracks inspired by the feeling of hope and injected with the energy of someone who doesn't give up despite the difficulties.
I picked the album's opener because it is my favourite track and it is one of those electronic gems that do give me goosebumps and the feeling of anything's possible.
Also, I've got a fun fact for you. We had a Bandcamp-exclusive listening party yesterday where fans could chat with him while listening to the album before the official launch, and I asked him about the backstory of "The Future Belongs To You". I wanted to know where this positiveness stemmed from. His answer did not disappoint, "This past year has been quite a transformative year, buying a house and about to get married next month! So I just thought it's quite a hopeful title, with an 'anything is possible' kind of sentiment."
How cool is that?
