This Way

I'm a bit late on the Friday feature wave since most of the morning was spent updating playlisting and some label work. That being said, I'm excited to be doing the one thing I truly love - covering and writing about music and how it makes me feel.

If there's only one word to describe DOS' new single, "This Way", that would be exhilarating. There’s something magnetic about the way UK garage melts into future-leaning electronica on this tone. It doesn't just hit, it elevates.

What I love the most about this track, though, is the sense of space. If you pay close attention you'll feel that the production breathes. The usage of airy ambient synths stretches across the spectrum, creating a weightless backdrop that lets the bouncy percussion and playful vocal chops shine without ever feeling crowded. A perfect balance between movement and atmosphere.
