Shadows

You can't imagine how eager I've been to feature this track. Been counting the days to the release of Eauki's (pronounced oh-ki) "Shadows".

I wish there was much to tell you about the art of Merijn, but there's scarce information about this talented producer at that time. Back when I lived in the Netherlands I knew a few people called Merijn, so I assume he's Dutch and that's all I can share with you for now.

That being said, his music is phenomenal and charged with so much energy. Inspired by artists like ATRIP, Floating Points, Dusky, Eauki dwells in the UK Garage space. On "Shadows", the producer juxtaposes that wobbly, grand-sounding synth to the vocal chops and all just blends perfectly. Instant stank face and desire to conquer the world early in the morning.
