Today's premiere is a unique remix from the UK based duo, Dextric and their take on Elder Island's latest song, "Don't Lose."
Opening the track are the soulful lyrics, "Tell 'em of the revolution, tell 'em of the heads that roll..." Soon after, we're greeted with the smoothest guitar hook that is paired together with trip hop beats, creating an atmosphere where you find yourself melting into it. This remix has a laid back style and sound that compliments the original but takes it to a more relaxed and mellow place.
Dextric's ability to both compliment and add their own sound to this remix is amazingly well done. I can only hope we see more releases from this eclectic duo, whether it's more remixes or their own originals too.
