"Addiction" is the 3rd track off Emanuel's debut EP Alt Therapy, and throughout the project, the Canadian artist provides us with a raw yet virtuous synopsis of his conflicted psyche.
What makes "Addiction" arguably the most salient moment of Alt Therapy is not only because it's the infectious groove, the lyricism is imbued in vulnerability delivered in an exceptionally soulful manner - akin to the likes of Frank Ocean. As the track progresses we're introduced to angelic vocal harmonies that have a choral nature to them, and I just adore how passionate the performance becomes particularly towards the closing stages of "Addiction".
