It's time to ride the experimental wave of modern jazz with Floating Sheep and their self-titled record, which was released earlier this year.

The 4-piece, comprised of Bar (handpan), Maayan (woodwinds), Yair (drums), and Ofek (keys/synths), adds a fresh new perspective on the possibilities of the genre and how other influences can add a vibrant new cutting-edge energy to it. Over the course of 10 compositions, the guys explore a rather psychedelic sound driven heavily by the beautiful sound of the handpan.

My personal favourite? "Turkish Kawabanga", not only because its aerial feel, but the absolutely smashing drum parts!
